Riley:

Dog • Adult • Schnauzer Mix • Female • Small

Meet Riley! Riley is a schnauzer mix. Sadly we do not know much of her history but we do know she is extremely fearful, and has separation anxiety. She prefers women over men and enjoys the company of other dogs. She would not do well with children and should go to an experienced pet owner. Riley is up to date on vaccines, heart worm negative and spayed. If you are interested in meeting and potentially adopting Riley, please fill out an application.

Annabelle:

Dog • Adult • Pit Bull Terrier Mix • Female • Medium

Meet Annabelle! Annabelle is a 2-3 year old adult pit bull terrier mix who has a tragic story. Annabelle was a former lose/stray dog. She was hit by a car back in January by Pack of Paws in Southbridge Ma. She was loose and injured for a few more weeks before Animal Control got a call that she was on someone's back porch and picked her up. While in their care she proved her will to live and bonded closely with many of the shelter staff. Her four month quarantine (due to wounds of unknown origin) was up in May when she entered our rescue. She is an incredibly sweet girl and very obedient. She is dog selective and has done well with most dogs in time but due to this she would need an experienced owner. She is off leash trained and has amazing recall. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and crate trained. If you are interested in meeting and potentially adopting Annabelle, please fill out an application.

Mama:

Cat • Senior • Domestic Short Hair • Female • Small

Meet Mama! Mama is a petite former stray/semi feral cat that we have known for roughly 6 years. She was a former colony cat at one of our feeding stations in Dorchester where we fed daily. Mama is called Mama because when we first came across her she had a tiny black kitten that followed her everywhere she went. Her kitten was taken in by the Animal Rescue League of Boston back in 2012. and found a home then. In April of 2017 we realized Mama was drastically losing weight, despite having a ravenous appetite. We took her in and sure enough she is diabetic. Since then her diabetes has been regulated and she is on insulin injections twice daily. She has adjusted to life indoors well but doesn't enjoy the company of dogs and most cats. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and estimated to be roughly 7-8 years old, a young senior. We realize the odds of finding a senior semi feral former street cat with diabetes a home is like finding a needle in a hay stack but we are up for the challenge! Mama is a great girl so we have our fingers crossed for her. If you are interested in adopting Mama please fill out an application.

ADOPTABLE PETS

Updated 5/23/2018

Agnes:

Cat • Adult • Domestic Medium Hair • Female • Medium

Meet Agnes! Agnes was trapped in Southbridge last summer and has made tremendous progress in her current foster home. She was once petrified of people but now can be hand fed and socializes with the other cats in the home. She does fantastic with other cats and is a very clean girl. We also think she is quiet beautiful! The problem is she is still fearful of people, no longer petrified but fearful. We are hoping someone with a multi-cat home will see this post and want to adopt her. Agnes is coming around but at this rate it could take months, sadly maybe even years. We certainly don't want to put her back outside after she has made this much progress. Agnes is spayed, vaccinated, combo negative and roughly 2-3 years old. If you are interested in adopting this deserving girl, please fill out an application.
